SANDRA LAVIE

Sandra Lavie came from a very small town in Northern Peru. She arrived by a student visa and scholarship program that allowed her to study “sustainable projects in the biosphere reserves” In Colorado, sponsored by the WWF. However, her destiny led her to Los Angeles, California, where she met her partner and had 2 children's. Since she was young, Sandra has dreamed of owning her own business and becoming an entrepreneur. Following a difficult divorce, Sandra found herself alone and with two children's to care for, she did the research and work and took a leap in faith to start her own business, with a kitchen table in a small apartment as her office. While thinking about a product that can help her to get rid of adult acne that she had experienced all her life, she decided to create a product that deep cleans the skin without destroying the skin barrier and keeping a hydrated and healthy look. She also heard common anti-aging concerns from her family and friends such as acne, fine lines, loss of contour, and simply “tired of looking tired”. At that point, she started working on facials tools and accessories to address these issues. 

With no contacts but confidence in her product, Sandra started making cold calls, and doing door to door sales. She admits that nothing was easy but her tenancy and working long nights had started to pay off. Her own skin was glowing and her customers were sharing their rave reviews! Sandra’s passion goes beyond great tools. Since day one, she has championed values of female empowerment and inclusivity. LUCE is dedicated to serving a community of men and women of all ages and cultures, by celebrating their stories and offering unwavering support.
